The position requires an understanding of accounting and corporate finance, modeling and analytical skills, and strong communication skills. You would be working on transactions involving software, consumer products, business services, and industrial companies.  Your role would be to provide critical research, analysis and general professional support throughout the complex merger and acquisition process. The successful candidate will be intelligent, mature, hard-working, resourceful, intellectually versatile, persistent,  and interpersonally skilled. Typical assignments include:

  • identifying and researching prospective buyers for sell-side clients, applying criteria in a disciplined but thoughtful way
  • building a discounted cash-flow model for a client to help support a position about that client’s value in an M&A transaction
  • researching the key players in an industry segment and building a market map to show how they are differentiated  from one another
  • preparing a table of publicly-traded companies that are comparable to a prospective client, and performing research and analysis to determine a valuation range

The ideal candidate possesses an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or business and has 0-4 years’ work experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting. Candidate must be a self-motivated, proactive professional, prepared to work in a fast-moving environment that can require long hours but provides significant job satisfaction.

Associate and Principal Positions – Investment Banking

If this type of opportunity resonates with you, we are looking for professionals with 3-5 years of relevant experience and with strong corporate finance, communication, project management and research skills to join our growing team.

You would be working on transactions involving software, business services, consumer products, healthcare and industrial products companies.  Your role would be to provide project management, critical research, analysis and general professional support throughout the complex merger and acquisition process, as well as supporting partners in their deal origination efforts. The successful candidate will be intelligent, with and ownership mentality, mature, hard-working, resourceful, intellectually versatile, persistent and interpersonally skilled.

Typical assignments include:

  • researching and preparing pitch books for new business development and client marketing activities
  • drafting merger and acquisition research reports
  • building complex valuation models for M&A transactions and valuation projects
  • synthesizing various data sources to distill and present key operational metrics
  • interfacing with client and team members to develop the positioning for and management of the client documentation process
  • support of transaction negotiations, bid processes, online data rooms and due diligence activities on behalf of clients

The ideal candidate possesses a degree in finance, accounting or business and has 3-5 years of work experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or commercial banking. Candidate must be self-motivated, proactive and professional, must consistently produce on-time, high quality work product, and be prepared to work in a fast-moving environment that can require long hours but provides significant job satisfaction. An MS in Finance or MBA degree is preferred for a Principal position, but is not required.
