Dalloz acquires cubic zirconia maker Ceres Corp.

Boston, MA, April 23, 2003 – Mirus announced today that the company has assisted Ceres Corporation, a manufacturer of cubic zirconia for the retail jewelry market, with a sale of its business to Dalloz of Paris, France.

Based in Niagara Falls, New York, Ceres had come under margin pressure from new competitors in Asia. The Company defaulted on its senior debt, and retained the services of the Mirus Special Situations Group to assist with an orderly sale of the business.
