Harpoon Brewery: What’s Beer Got To Do With M&A?

Posted by

Well, not much, really, except that Charlie Storey, President, and Warren Dibble, the CFO of Harpoon Brewery completed an ESOP of the company last summer.  They’re coming to this year’s XPX Summit on March 19th at the Waltham Woods Conference Center to tell their story.  Check out their video to get a taste.  Oh – and at the end of the day, they’ll be pouring the beer themselves for a beer tasting to enjoy during your networking.

Other Key Notes include Kenneth Marks from High Rock Partners, speaking on Growing Business Value; Tim Hebert, the CEO of Atrion Networking, speaking on Leadership and Culture; and Steve Gerard, the CEO of CBIZ, speaking on growth through acquisitions (he’s done more than 75 of them in the past decade).

Finally, there are two breakout sessions featuring insights from business owners who have “been there, done that.”  One panel will be discussing how to create operational efficiency and economies of scale.  The other panel, which includes two former Mirus clients, Sean Kavanagh of The Ariel Group, and Peter Alcock of Beckwood Services, will share their stories as they discuss how to determine the best exit option.

I think the lineup of speakers and panelists for this event is fantastic, with great opportunities to learn from successful business owners about how to grow and exit your business.  If you’re a business owner or CEO, please email me to get a link for a discounted admission to the event.

See you there!
