Waterville Valley has been acquired by LBO Enterprises/American Skiing Company
LBO Resort Enterprises has purchased S-K-I Ltd., owner of Waterville Valley, Killington, Mount Snow, Haystack, and Sugarloaf USA for $137 million. Terms of the deal include a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, which ruled that the company (since renamed as American Skiing Company) must sell its New Hampshire resorts at Waterville Valley and Mount Cranmore in order to preserve competition in New England. Mike Krongel advised the management and shareholders of LBO on the transaction.
