Mirus Capital Advisors represents Stratus Technologies on Acquisition of Emergent Network Solutions

Mirus Capital Advisors, a middle-market investment bank, served as the exclusive financial advisor to Maynard-based Stratus Technologies, Inc., in its acquisition of Emergent Network Solutions of Allen, TX. The acquisition augments Stratus’s telecommunication software, services and solutions for emerging network technologies, enabling service providers and carriers to launch new subscriber services and capture new revenue sources as the industry migrates to the Internet protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure.

Emergent’s products and solutions for voice over the Internet (VoIP) and IMS build out Stratus’ strategic business initiative and current solutions for Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Service Mediation, which enable disparate network technologies to operate together seamlessly. “The VoIP and IMS solutions market is conservatively estimated to be $2.0 billion and is growing rapidly,” said David Hoffer, the Mirus partner who managed the transaction. “This acquisition brings together two companies whose business strategies blend very well. Stratus is now exceptionally well positioned to take advantage of this rapidly growing opportunity in the converged network solutions market.”
